Orangetheory Membership Costs & Pricing Guide (2026)
Orangetheory pricing varies by location, and the company doesn't publish standard rates on their website. This guide breaks down the typical costs for each membership tier so you know what to expect before you walk in.
Membership Tiers
OTF offers three membership levels at most studios. Some locations also offer class packs for drop-in visitors.
Basic — 4 Classes Per Month
Typical price: $59–$79/month
One class per week. This is ideal if you use OTF to supplement another workout routine (running, lifting, yoga) or if you want to try it out without a big commitment. Some studios allow you to purchase additional classes at a per-class rate.
Elite — 8 Classes Per Month
Typical price: $99–$119/month
Two classes per week. This is the most popular tier and provides enough frequency to see meaningful fitness improvements. Most exercise guidelines recommend 150+ minutes of moderate-intensity cardio per week, and two OTF classes gets you close.
Premier — Unlimited Classes
Typical price: $159–$179/month
Unlimited classes per month. Best value per class if you go 3+ times per week. At 4 classes/week (16/month), the per-class cost drops to roughly $10–$11 — significantly less than most boutique fitness classes.
Additional Costs
Heart Rate Monitor
OTF requires a heart rate monitor for every class. Your first class includes a free loaner. After that, you'll need to purchase or rent one:
- OTbeat Burn (arm band): $99–$109
- OTbeat Core (chest strap): $79–$89
- OTbeat Link (Apple Watch connector): $129
- HRM rental: $5–$10 per class (some studios offer this)
See our HRM comparison guide for detailed recommendations on which monitor to choose.
Late Cancel / No-Show Fees
Canceling a class less than 8 hours before the start time (12 hours at some studios) incurs a late cancel fee of $12–$18. No-shows are charged the same fee. This policy exists to ensure classes stay full and spots don't go to waste.
Premium Add-Ons
Some studios offer premium services for additional fees:
- Lift 45 classes: Usually included in your membership
- Retail gear: Studio-branded clothing, water bottles, bags
- InBody scans: $15–$25 for body composition analysis (some studios include free scans periodically)
Ways to Save
Founders Rate
When a new studio opens, they offer a "founders rate" that can be $20–$40 less per month than the standard rate. This rate is locked in for as long as you keep your membership active. If a studio is opening near you, signing up during the pre-sale period is the best deal you'll find.
Corporate Partnerships
Many employers have corporate wellness partnerships with OTF that provide discounted rates. Check with your HR department or ask the studio front desk if your company qualifies.
Family Add-On
Some studios offer family member discounts when multiple people in the same household sign up. Ask your studio about this option.
Annual Commitment
Month-to-month memberships are standard, but some studios offer a small discount for a 6 or 12-month commitment. The trade-off is an early termination fee if you cancel before the commitment ends.
Price Comparison
Here's how OTF stacks up against other fitness options:
- Standard gym (Planet Fitness, LA Fitness): $10–$60/month. Less expensive, but no coaching or structured programming.
- CrossFit box: $125–$225/month. Similar price range to OTF with different training focus (weightlifting, Olympic lifts).
- Personal training: $60–$120 per session. Much more expensive for comparable guided instruction.
- Peloton / at-home fitness: $13–$44/month plus equipment. Lower cost but no in-person coaching or community.
